Dr Rachel GreenSpecialist
Rachel was born in Cambridge UK and went to University in Birmingham. Having been lucky enough to visit Australia in her fourth year of university, Rachel fell in love with the country and knew she would return. She completed her degree in 1997. Having completed 18 months of service for the NHS she moved to southeast Queensland. Rachel started her specialist training in 2001. Her training took her through the major teaching hospitals and a 12 month rural stint in Mackay. Rachel gained her fellowship in 2008. Rachel took a short leave in 2007 to have her first daughter, returning full time to finish her training. She worked at Ipswich General Hospital as a staff specialist until her second child was born. She returned to work part time as a Visiting Medical Officer and as a Private Practitioner in 2009. She now works full time in private practice. Rachel is very proud to be involved in the local community. She supports a number of local charities and is heavily involved in the Ipswich Girls Grammar School community where her 2 girls are educated. |
SaraEndorsed Midwife/ Registered NurseSara qualified as a Registered Nurse and Midwife through QUT in 2011, completing her midwifery training at the Royal Brisbane Womens Hospital. She worked at the Ipswich General Hospital from 2011 until joining the team at St Andrews Private Hospital Ipswich Women’s and Children’s unit in 2019 as a Clinical Nurse and Midwife.
During that time, Sara also completed her qualifications as an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and completed her Midwifery Endorsement. She has worked in many areas pertaining to Women’s and Children’s care, including antenatal, intra-partum and postnatal care, midwifery clinics, paediatrics, special care nursery and gynaecology. Sara has two children, two sisters and multiple nieces and nephews, and has lived in Ipswich her entire life. When she isn't working, she's likely drinking coffee or cooking, and spending time with her family. Sara feels very privileged to be working with women at this special time in their life, and helping both them and their families. |
AmyEndorsed MidwifeAmy is an experienced midwife of 11 years. She completed her Bachelor of Midwifery at the University of Queensland in 2011 and commenced work as a midwife at Ipswich Hospital that same year. Amy has worked across a variety of areas in her career as a midwife including postnatal ward, labour ward, special care nursery and antenatal, gynaecology and postnatal clinics. Amy commenced work at St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital in 2021 and continues to practice there currently.
Amy has pursued multiple additional qualifications since becoming a midwife. She became an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2018 and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Child and Family Health in 2020. Amy also gained her Midwifery Endorsement in 2021. Amy is married to Brett and the two have both lived in Ipswich since childhood. They are parents to 6-year-old Patterson. Amy and her family are very involved in their local church and love to travel and explore the world together. Amy particularly enjoys educating families as they take on their new venture into pregnancy and parenthood. |
Bruce
Our Practice Manager, Bruce, comes with 18 years experience with Queensland Health. He finished his Nursing Degree in 1998 and quickly went to work in the Operating Theatre. Travelling around South East Queensland, has given him the experience and problem solving skills necessary for his current role.
Supporting Dr Green and her staff to streamline the Practices processes and make the patients' experience painless. After working for over 15 years at the Royal Childrens Hospital in Brisbane within the Operating Theatre, he shows compassion and has fantastic time management skills. |
Rebecca and Maegan
Dr Green and Clinical Team is complemented by our two talented Reception staff, Rebecca and Maegan.
They both bring a wealth of knowledge to the Clinic to assist you in your Health care needs. |
Myf
Myf is a cheeky Cavoodle. She helps with reducing patients anxiety, and provides smiles to all who greet her. She loves providing entertainment and being a retriever, while waiting to see your specialist.
